For a new entry, I pasted some (long) text for the short description. This results in:
SQL error: 'Data too long for column 'short_description' at row 1' (tx_in2glossar_domain_model_definition

TCA and SQL schema should match each other. I.e. either the table should accept everything that can be entered in the BE (i.e. what the TCA allows), or the TCA should be correspondingly more restrictive with regard to text lengths.
