Getting Started

Make sure you have a GitHub account
Submit a ticket for your issue, assuming one does not already exist.
- Clearly describe the issue including steps to reproduce when it is a bug.
- Make sure you fill in the earliest version that you know has the issue.

Making Changes

Fork the repository on GitHub.
Make the changes to your forked repository.
- Ensure you stick to the WordPress Coding Standards.
- Ensure you use LF line endings - no crazy windows line endings. :)
When committing, reference your issue (#1234) and include a note about the fix.
Push the changes to your fork and submit a pull request on the master branch of the eCommerce Product Catalog repository. Existing maintenance branches will be maintained of by eCommerce Product Catalog developers.
Please don't modify the changelog, this will be maintained by eCommerce Product Catalog developers.

Locale name for Japanese

Hello, thank you for your great plugin.

I confirmed that some lang file was added.
But WordPress locale for Japanese is just "ja" not "ja_JA".
You can see the list of all langages.

So I think you should rename the file to "al-ecommerce-product-catalog-ja.mo".

Shortcodes are not removed from category short descriptions

If you are using the classic list, then the product short description is added besides the picture.
However, if shortcodes are used in the product short description, then they are not removed from the text (only html tags).
I would suggest removing shortcodes the WP strip_shortcodes function in the content-functions.php file.

Gallery nav buttons

Hi,

The nav buttons after create a Gallery to see the products images, doesn´t work in IE neither in Mobile Chrome.

Product catalog plugin is currently hard coding the plugins directory path

Hard coding the plugins directory path in ecommerce-product-catalog.php only works for standard WP implementations. If wp-content is not in the same directory as the standard WP code then the plugin does not work anymore.
This is a standard setup if WP is source controlled e.g. via Git

Search Form Reset/Clear is Needed

Hi - At the bottom of this page is the search widget:
http://vitanica.com/all-products/productlist/

If you enter something such as "noexist", you will get a "not found" result, which is correct.

Now on the same page (without a page "refresh") if you enter something valid such as "iron", you still get "not found" which is NOT correct.

Can I do something to force a page/form reset so that if a user enters a valid term after a "not found" the form will correctly return the results?

Change "products" URL slug

Although you can change the Categories Parent URL in the settings, so categories appear as /my-custom-slug/category-name/, products seem to be hardcoded to be /products/product-name.

Would it be possible to add a field to allow you to customise the Parent URL for products?

Product List Sorting

Hi Norbert,

Hope you are doing well.
it would be very helpful if the products could be sorted either by
date, alphabetically or random.
Right now they are sorted by entry date as far as i can tell. This does not work too well for products that are typically sorted alphabetically.

it would be great if those options could be added to the product settings.
