Found a need of creating a new branch for a "stable release" of IIPS website's Astra version as on 09-02-14.
Actually we have some newer version too in other branches that can be transferred to this afterwards upon verification.
@Ankit-Kulkarni sir : You can use this branch to directly link with the domain http://iips.redirectme.net and changes done inside this branch will be shown on http://iips.redirectme.net
So we shall not do any testing work in it so that in case if we loose any change or mistakenly try something in "testing" branch we shall atleast have this branch as backup.
Hope everyone is getting my intention and would support it.
This is a backup for stable Astra version and it should be used for http://iips.redirectme.net domain.

I came to know that we can do all the template inheritance (using the base.php in all the pages with common components with just php).

I have found the snippet. i am adding that in sample please have a look.

gateway bar is overlapping the name and logo of institute when site is being tested on the mobile phone so convert it into a navigation bar

Since you know the design of the homepage is such that it includes many php files, like header.php, footer.php and then for content area, it includes 3 different files, slider.php, newsEvents.php and notice.php.Now if we are gona add quick links to this page then again a new php files(may be quicklink.php).

What i think is it would be better to make a single file content.php which will include the slider , news and events and notices, testimonials, quiklinks for front page.

The problem here is if we do so, the span classes are not working . I mean span2, span4 and such all classes are not working.

Common Menu options in Student, Faculty, Staff menu are navigating to Main Page Menus.
For Example : Clicking on Xpression submenu in student portal, changes the page to MainPage/Xpression.php,
(It should be MainPage/StudentPortal/Expression.php).

Ankit and I used Knockoutjs in out Eventus project and figured out a quite basic flavour of getting and sending data , well if you see the code it is simple ajax and getJSON calls but by using Knockout we define specific Model for our website.

Also another issue is the files including in content area are not written in bootstrap format, by that what i mean is first container class and then span classes. so we need to use each of the file in bootstrap format , i.e atleast including the span classes.
The current design spreads over the page or screens and we need to make the design fix to look same on every screen.

Page fluctuates when sidebar options clicked. It is due to the size of content to be displayed dynamically. Some sidebar options have long scrolling content and some have just few lines.
Solution might be a jquery function to scroll the page to top (ScrollTop) when sidebar options clicked.

Hey guys, i was just trying to push some changes , but i am getting a 403 error. I am even not able to pull the changes .

do any one of you facing the same issue.
I am able to provide username , password but getting an error .

PS: 3-4 hours back i was able to push, and i have not at all changed any of the config files, i don't know why it is so.

Google Maps has been added to the Reach Us page with very basic level. Now some customization is needed to make google maps work with buttons and guide the path from university gate to the IIPS.

There are 2 issues here: One is the inner links inside any Main menu option cant be referenced directly. For example , there is no way to reference MTECH course under programms we offer. The only way to reference it is to reference http://test-iipsdc.no-ip.info/iips_website/Courses.php and then navigate to MTECH.

2nd issue is:
The url's for the courses.php pages change abruptly with clicks on the different options under the "programs we offer" option.

If we click side link , the info is navigated and the url is plain(i.e http://test-iipsdc.no-ip.info/iips_website/Courses.php) . While if the option under menus are then clicked then the url changes to http://test-iipsdc.no-ip.info/iips_website/Courses.php#tab4 like structures.

I have changed the theme to previous "Blue" theme[as suggested by Ankit sir] with some enhancements like youtube channel link in footer, positioning twitter box at different position as suggested by Ankit sir, repositioning quick links area etc. I have recovered my commits without affecting other commits done by other team members. So please anyone don't revert again. I have set the theme to previous "Blue" theme again for which the revert had been done so I think there won't be any need to revert again. But still if anyone feels to revert kindly inform me before doing so.

We need to do the documentation simultaneously for the static pages too. Like specially the hierarchy of the pages , which page is linked to the root in what way , via which option.

We were discussing about keeping quick links in footer once like in the website of university of Iowa. I need opinions from everyone upon merging quick links in the footer and keeping social link icons upward it as in the website of university of Iowa ( http://www.uiowa.edu ) suggested by Ankit sir? Should I work for it now or not?

Please do check the new theme of our IIPS website as in theme_testing branch. It has changes like:
1.Merged quick links in footer.
2.Bigger link size.
3.Enhanced footer
4.Enlarged Notices and Announcements panel etc

while testing it was found that main menu bar was not responsive as a result of that the whole page of about university is not responsive

create pages for feedbach and publication

Rather than using the static navbar at the top of the site we can use simple text links so as to save the page space.

Our Static Pages like in About University and About IIPS does not need accordions. So from the last discussion from Rahul Sagore yesterday I suggest that we should use the dynamic sidebar.

I have changed the footer color to black that is looking better than the previous light blue color in my opinion. Need opinions from all of you about this.
Note: Kindly don't revert again to make it blue again. If you need it back, please inform me. I shall change the color again. Because reverting will ruin other changes as well.
