Doing some connection tests, the used memory on a node kept increasing, but the reported memory per application appeared to decrease for all applications.

In this particular test, the point at which the memory x app behavior suddenly changes coincides with the moment where the number of connections stops to grow (but new connections are still being attempted).

system_monior_pg inserts one record at a time, this is highly inefficient in real life scenarios due to round-trip time.
