create so much easier the settings page on network admin area.

I will only leave a hint to a ticket on core to create so much easier a new tab, settings area on the sites of the network.
I have add a patch and wait also for release inside the core. Maybe you like the patch and can push the ticket.

When editing a site alias, the alias tab, in not active.

I think the "Enhanced by Mercator" should be moved to the core plugin without translations.
I would suggest splitting like:

Mercator: "Enhanced by Mercator v2.0"
Mercator-GUI: "Enhanced by Mercator v2.0 (GUI v0.1)"
Mercator-SSO: "Enhanced by Mercator v2.0 (GUI v0.1, SSO v0.1)"
Mercator-Redirect: "Enhanced by Mercator v2.0 (GUI v0.1, SSO v0.1, Redirect v0.1)"

extending the text by the "extension code"

I would like to suggest renaming thegui.php to mercator-gui.php to make naming consistent.

i'd like to use it but afraid of issues or PRs opened long time ago.
is it safe or do we still need to wait for issues to be closed ?

Any estimation on when this updated GUI (and the Mercator-REST-API) will be merged into Mercator core?

I'm keen to contribute as i'd like to use Mercator in a project, but can't get any of these new feature repos or branches running without a bunch of errors.
