blankup-electron's Issues

Auto update

Electron apps can have an auto-update feature. It would be really nice to have that.

With it bug fixes would get propagated to all users instead of users having to check for a new version.

XSS vulnerability?!

It seems JavaScript is not filtered out in BlankUp, allowing things like <img src="x" onerror="alert('hacked!')">, as the screenshot shows. Maybe an attacker can do nasty things inside BlankUp, using a Markdown file?

Localization

It would be a great addition to have localization.
Especially for all warning texts that pop up because the buttons already get localized.

  • learn how to do this
  • implement localization
  • translate texts

If anybody has experience with localization please feel free to help out as I have zero experience with this.

Wirft javascript exeptions

exception

Don't apply markdown formatting to YAML Front Matter in preview

If the first line of the file is ---, it's very likely that the file contains YAML Front Matter, and everything until the 2nd --- should either be ignored entirely, or perhaps rendered as a table like Github's Markdown preview does.

I realize this is a small issue, but it's ugly and distracting.
