How to have updated_by included when creating a new record? I want to able to list who modified the record but it shows up blank if never been modified.

returns the error message: Call to a member function getModel() on null, when using api guard. At line return auth()->guard()->getProvider()->getModel();

        return auth()->guard()->getProvider()->getModel();

So my problem is because I make the call from my api guard, and auth()->guard()->getProvider() returns null.

The code should determine the model class being used for users and use the $primaryKey property. We don't have an id column for our users table, and have it modified using the $primaryKey property. The code here should read from that.
