Problem

Randomly picking from a list results in a few items being picked many times and some very rarely

Solution

1. Store all images shown in an array
2. Subtract the array from the current selection
3. If the current selection is empty, reset the stored array

• Image description changes before the new image is even on screen

This will make maintaining the app across multiple platforms (android, ios and web) much easier.

Convert OpenWeatherMap icon codes to google icon names

• Calendar appointments
• Emails
• etc...

Create a settings panel to:

• Toggle features on/off
• Login to Google
• Change RSS feed address

• Side effect: prevent Chromecast ambient mode from taking over

Fetch and display the latest news headlines

Cache RSS feed using async-storage valid for ~ 1 hour

Add a dark gradient on top of the background image to ensure text is visible
