A simple, minimalist template that actually began life as an unused redesign of my
personal site. Includes a (configurable) parallax background effect, Poptrox-powered
lightbox gallery, a bunch of pre-styled elements, and Sass sources for the Sass-inclined.

worm-sim's Issues

Is it ethical to close the tab in the web browser?

I really like the worm simulator, but I'm worried about the potential ethical impact of closing the browser tab. Does it kill the worm or will the worm be okay?

Somewhat related, a feature to save the state of your worm might be nice so that you can transfer the worm between computers, or restore your worm to an earlier point if you're disappointed with it

How does the worm sense the environment in the program? How does `connectome.js` even work?

Hi.

When looking at connectome.js I saw four lines starting at 260:

/* Use these to stimulate nose and food sensing neurons */
BRAIN.stimulateHungerNeurons = true;
BRAIN.stimulateNoseTouchNeurons = false;
BRAIN.stimulateFoodSenseNeurons = false;

Is the worm actually in an endless state of hunger because BRAIN.stimulateHungerNeurons is set to true? How does it know when it collides with the edges of the window if BRAIN.stimulateNoseTouchNeurons is set to false? Does BRAIN.stimulateFoodSenseNeurons simulate the nematode being "full"?

How exactly does the javascript code work?

Thanks.
