Drag Select Errors

(fresh install of 3.3 latest build and today's Heavypoly tools)
When trying to drag select some vertexes, it seems it starts some kind of mode but it ends up doing nothing. Then locks you out of single click selecting in the 3D Viewport until you press ESC.

Smart Scale broken in 3.2

Operator not returning finished after scaling an object on a pre-existing blendfile from another version.
Will look into the origin of the issue after my current project is done. Removing it solved the issue.

Autosave Error

Noticed that with latest that in Edit>Preference>File Paths>Temporary files that it was set to C:\Users\kakapo~1\AppData\Local\Temp\ and under asset libraries its using C:\Users\kakapoopie\Documents\Blender\Assets. Not a huge deal but I noticed that autosave doesn't even try to save anything or anywhere with that error.

I am using the current 4.0 stable version of blender

"Context sensitive extrude" bug in 2.83 LTS

This works on 2.9 but not on 2.83 LTS
Nothing selected will create a single vert no problem. It works for edges too
But when you try to extrude a face it will only perform the shrink fatten and not extrude. So you only push up and down the face without extruding it. Maybe you can take a look pls :)

Select through border resets X-Ray mode

After an update of select through border, it resets x-ray mode upon every interaction.

Meaning, if before selecting anything (or just invoking the selection box) there is x-ray mode enabled, after releasing LMB it always gets disabled. In the previous version, the x-ray's state remained as it was before invoking the selection box.

Considering you already did some updates for select through border for it to run on latest blender versions, is it possible to make it work exactly the same way as in the previous version?

Issue with the 3D cursor placement

Hey Vaughan,
Just found an issue with your setup while working recently, on the 2.9 setup for blender, when trying to move the 3D cursor, the option "Control + Right Mouse" to snap it to selected doesn't work, the only way at the moment to move it is "Shift + Right Mouse" which places it where the pointer is.

At the moment when I found this, I had also Hard ops and Boxcutter installed, so I did a clean install and tried only with your setup without any additional plugins and the issue was still there, I remember it working properly in 2.8 and previous versions.

2.9 3rd and 5th july build issues and general errors

Hi,

Ive ran into some issues and Iam not sure if you depricated some features or these are just bugs nobody found or reported.

  1. In the 5th july build of 2.9 the draw primitives live cutters are not visible (the wire will not be displayed in the viewport even unhidden) and they dont get deleted when applied. Works on the 3rd july build. Prob a blender issue but maybe they changed things around. EDIT: Works in the 7th july build again!

Draw primitives "onscreen display" blends into the background of the viewport and is way to small for 1440p+ displays imho
And even with your theme prefs its still very hard to read. And what is c for color suppose to do? It doesnt change the drawing box....

    After your latest update for hp config the cursor snap is missing from the ctrl + rmb as stated in your github log. The other functions of the snap menus like the collection doesnt do anything? Or maybe it only works in specific scenarios?!
    I guess you want us to use shift +rmb and shift + s for placing the cursor?!
    And when you use shift + c for snapping cursor to world origin the viewport also zooms to the world origin (not sure if that is a thing in vanilla blender or intended for your config)

  1. In your hotkeys txt file you have an option under mesh for Alt drag for adding a cube....is that the new add cube function from 2.9 or something else...doesnt work for me

A little request, maybe doable.... In the properties popup with ctrl + shift + v you can reach the modifiers. Would it be possible to implement the modifier stack in there to edit array counts etc e.g

Addons will not install.

Drag Select issue in 4.0

'Drag' Select 'Drag on empty space' Deselect is not working, it is turn into drag your models to move anywhere.

.blend scene compatibility issiue

When I save .blend file and someone else opens it up in vanilla Blender it crashes. It might be embedding startup data from Heavypoly or something. I want to share a scene with people who don’t use Heavypoly plugin.
How can I save a scene to be fully compatible with other Blender versions and exclude unnecessary data?

Grease Pencil Sculpt mode (and other modes) seem to have been renamed to other things.

UV unwrapping trouble.

Hi Vaughan I'm using blender 3.0 and I noticed that I've never been able to project or unwrap a UV map whilst using the heavypoly config, even on previous builds. Even when using nodes I can't seem to preview the UV's or manipulate them at all. I can do it fine in blender vanilla so I'm not sure if it's intentional or not.
