#Awesome Box

The Awesome Box is an alternate returns box at your library. If you checked out an item and you thought it was awesome, for whatever reason, you return it to the Awesome Box instead of the regular returns box.

This git repository contains the webapp used to receive and share things that have been aweseomed.

awesome's Issues

404 working

the 404 page isn't working on the prod instance. fix.

create a readme/install file

create an install file that contains a note about copying the .htaccess.example and about the etc/master.cfg.example

audit redirects

when a user logs out, do they go to the right place? when they login, do the go to the right place?

Sell to your boss & colleagues

Website
PDF?

Don't want it on your page? Don't scan it.
Too tired to scan anymore? Hide the box.
Don't have a box? Use anything (Kleenex box, coworker's lunchbox)

twitter is too slow

we dont' send the scan confirm back until twitter confirms our post. grossout. parallelize this.

clean up ISBN

maybe explode on space?

eliminate all letters but 'x'?

build a "what you get" page

If you put an awesome box in your library, this is what you get.

This page might include:

  • shot of scan page
  • links to demo a scan/view results on sandbox.awesomebox.io
  • widet demo (of things on the sandbox?)
  • Register form
  • Small API docs

log instead of print

in a few cases, we're printing error messages (in try/catch blocks). we should logging these, not printing them.

clean up forms

the add org form, the edit org form, and the add branch form aren't very slick. they should do a better job of error checking.
