www's Issues

Feedback

Feedback collected from Yilian

  • It's common practice to have the top-left site title/icon (harsh in your case) link back to the index of the site.
  • The animation on the intro image is nice, but theres no need to have the cursor turn into a pointer, since there's nothing happening on click. That just gives incorrect UX impressions. Same with your Quotes below.
  • Bit of personal preference, but I'd bump up the line height in the About section. Just makes it easier to read, and look less cramped.
  • The larger projects overview is nice, but they look a bit plain. You could add some sort of decorative "tags" to them, specifying language & usecase. Also, line-height and cursor: pointer again.
  • The smaller projects overview is great, because you're using the space more efficiently. I'd just suggest making the project title a bit smaller, to distinguish it from the larger projects title. Also, all the points mentioned above.
  • Especially with Games you could have some sort of image preview, that gives a peek of the game. You have something graphical, why not show it off?
  • UI concepts are great!
  • Contact is fine, looks a bit plain maybe.
In general: avoid using cursor: pointer where to actual interaction is possible (you can still have hover effects though, those are satisfying!) and try to make the site a bit more lively by adding graphical content such as tags or previews or project icons. Keep up the good work!

next.js 13.0 & above `api` route

Where is the project's api route? I can't seem to find it in the src directory. I need some help migrating my Spotify now-playing functionality from page/api to app/api.

It would be great if I could get some reference from yours on how to migrate and utilize the proper route handler methods(GET, POST, etc.)

Add links

There are no links right now on the buttons. They are just blank and don't link to anything.

Make website responsive.

image

This screenshot doesn't require an explaination for this issue... the website looks terrible on phones.

Footer

Add a footer with the link to the soure, and some other general information like copyright.

light burger menu is not visible

Hello, great work for your site!

I found a little bug on mobile: the light theme burger menu is not visible (BG: f6f6f6, stroke: #fff)

Fix links

Add links that work, and are not just a holder set to "#"

Only for the rewrite.
