The fstream test fails on Mac OS X. This seems to be a bug (or misunderstanding of how putback works; I lean towards bug) in how the standard lib fstream works in that environment. I'm not sure exactly how I want to deal with this.

For my work, using add_subdirectory adds the tests to the project. I either need to figure out a fix for that test, or be able to disable the test on certain platforms.

My initial thought is to provide an option that ifdefs 'enable_testing', so I can disable it. I'm interested in other ideas.
