Your template has \centering. \usepackage{floatrow} will center all of your floats, so you can get rid of that in your template and have authors focus on the content.

Upload the package to CTAN https://ctan.org/upload. It is really easy and it will be available out of the box in TexLive/MikTex distributions, so users don't have to copy paths to some cryptic locations on your file system. \documentclass{glossa} (or \documentclass{glossa-article}) and you are done. The bst and bbx files can also be included.

Even the bare package with minimal documentation would already be very useful!

Low level commands like \sffamily or \rmfamily should be dealt with in the cls. They should not be found in the template as they will either a) confuse authors or b) (worse) suggest that it is OK for authors to use all kinds of low level commands.

In the current template, they are found around the title, and for tabulars. For both cases, it should be possible to achieve the desired result via the cls.
