DO IT FOR THE KIDS up to date has already been able to support children in vulnerable situations with food, clothes, first aid kits, and most importantly love, as a result of the kind generosity shown by you, the donors.

We understand that not everyone can afford to donate their time either as a result of geographical barriers or just being committed to many other causes! However with a donation of any amount, you would assist in providing financial resources to assist out of school children, assist in the development of a library for children and adults living with Down-syndrome, and support other worthy causes such as the development of a re-usable sanitary pads project!

As a voluntary organisation,DIFTK is proud of the fact that ALL donated funds go towards the implementation of projects, with all personal, including ‘the Team’ serving the organisation on a voluntary basis without monetary compensation.

The Girl Child

DIFTK has joined the I-Pad campaign, a campaign which aims to support the girl child through aiding her with sanitary pads. We believe this to be a right for every girl child in the country, and an effort we are determined to support until such a day every Zimbabwean girl can attend school without being prohibited by a lack of sanitary wear for certain periods of the year.

Time is love

What sets DIFTK apart from other organisations is not just the fact that it is entirely youth run, but that it prioritises getting to know the children and spending time with them. Whilst many people and/or organisations may donate goods to the underprivileged, we believe that one good orphans particularly need is that of time which allows them to feel cared for and important. Hence whenever possible, DIFTK team members spend time either playing and interacting with orphans, or doing those jobs nobody wants to do, like assisting the ,matrons with ironing!

Access to basic needs

We are tremendously grateful to each and every single one of you that make it possible for DIFTK to assist in alleviating the plight of the less privileged. Because of your donations in cash and kind, we are able to support various children's homes with food & clothing, we are also able to extend the helping hand to the homeless and also those who have been befallen by sudden tragedy, such as a family whose home was burnt down.

OUR MISSION

To assist in alleviating the plight of the underprivileged children in the Zimbabwean community through enthusiastic service.

OUR VISION

To become a youth organisation recognised both nationally and internationally, as one which puts the basic needs of children first, and one which has a positive impact in ably assisting children realise their goals through its active and innovative participation.

OUR OBJECTIVES

• To aid in transforming communities by inspiring people throughout Zimbabwe to open their hearts, accept and include disadvantaged children and thereby any child who is perceived as different.
• Raise funds to assist underprivileged children in accessing basic amenities, nutrition, and support them to access appropriate education.
• As an organisation, to visit children in institutions, such as orphanages, based in local communities on a regular basis and spend time with them and help them feel cared for and loved.
  -Raise awareness through mediums such as social platforms to highlight the current living conditions of children in child care institutions in the Zimbabwean community.

PURPOSE & GOALS

The Do it for the Kids Organisation shall exist to both educate and garner support from the Zimbabwean community and the world at large on issues and needs relating to the condition of underprivileged children around the country, and specifically relating these issues to the work of raising the brand of philanthropy and more importantly service for the glory of God.

Yes, DIFTK is a real non-profit organisation that is registered as a Provincial Youth Association in the Advocacy, Education and Training with the Zimbabwe Youth Council as of 1 July 2016.
