I know maybe this question is silly. It's really a question, more than an
issue.
Maybe this is not the better place to ask for this, but you worked with
android and virtual machines more time than me, so maybe you know something
I ignore.
For a project of mine I need to configure a wireless interface and to work
on the wireless extension kernel module. And I can't run the live system on
my machine because of an audio driver problem.
The problem is that it seems that both virtualbox and vmware only shows
network interfaces as an ethernet interface. I don't know how works for
qemu because it does work on my machine.
I also tried to use bridged networking instead of NAT, but it seems that
the virtual machine use only a ethernet proxy-interface on the guest side.
You know an option to use my real wireless interface (or just provide some
kind of wireless emulation), or it is impossible because it's like a
virtual machine bypass?
Thank you in advance

I would like to ask what is the need for options like Dialer, Contacts, and
others which are related to a mobile phone when the project goal is to
support x86 eeepc machines.
I would agree that ANDROID-X86 is just a port for x86 architecture then
where should it be used either in a x86 based Mobile Phone or in a X86
based netbook or notebook.
I tried out the latest version in "QEMU MANAGER" where it pops up a "15min
left connect a battery charger". And no options to set network inorder to
access internet. The whole UI looks more to a MOBILE PHONE but not to a
NETBOOK.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Download a .apk file with the web browser
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Trying to install directly from Android, it throws an error: "There is a
problem parsing the package".
Trying to copy (with the console: Alt+F1) from /sdcard/download to
/system/app, there's no cp command. And if I try to move it, it throws an
error: "Failed on 'package.apk' - Cross-device link". I've noticed that the
/system/app directory is a read-only file system, with no chance to give
write permissions with chmod. I guess that it's the reason for the
impossibility to install Android applications.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

What steps will reproduce the problem?
Add the "Music" widget to the home screen. Add the same widget again.

The first widget only shows the layout. However, there's no text and it
doesn´t respond to any action (e.g. pressing the blue square should open an
activity).

Please provide any additional information below.
The Music widget is also deformed on the right (I think that the planned
width by the Android widget is higher than the actual width provided by
android-x86). Perhaps it's also related to the high distance between icons
in the home screen, which makes it wastes a lot of space of the screen.
