js's Issues

Support delete

With current algorithm it's impossible to Delete a key without leaving a Tombstone forever in each Redis replica.
From the client point of view, it's only safe to assume a key is deleted if all replica respond that the key is missing.

The only solution I can think of at the moment is to implement some kind of copying garbage collector that periodically move all non-deleted key to a new epoch.

Right now the return messages are handled through callbacks, see AcceptorClientMock class. It should be changed to NetworkReceiver registering and dispatching, see its registerAcceptor method.

This change should improve logging and message interception abilities. Improved logging is important for process mining purposes to check that observed behavior correspond to the modeled behavior.

Implement network mocking with explicit agent simulation:

  • system is represented as set of agents and timer
  • agents can send messages to other agents
  • agents can use timer to make a delayed delivery to simulate network issues
  • agent has the tick method which performs a quant of action and yielding control
  • simulation is done via a looped iteration through the set and invoking tick for each item
  • one iteration defines one quant of time
