This module provides a simple way of specifying syntactic constructs that are not implemented via the feature pragma, but are still not compatible with older versions of Perl.

Instead of searching through perldelta for the version that introduced defined-or operator, you can just use

use Syntax::Construct qw( // );

Use your favourite CPAN client to install the module.

To install this module manually, run the following commands:

perl Makefile.PL
make
make test
make install

After installing, you can find documentation for this module with the perldoc command.
