FontAwesome is a Laravel Package for Font Awesome 5

Publish the assets

php artisan vendor:publish

To use any of the Fontawesome icons that are free simiply use the facade followed by the name of the icon.

• Use camelcase
• Remember to escape

{!! Icon::addressBook() !!} => https://fontawesome.com/icons/address-book?style=regular

• Create the template in the views/fontawesome directory call it a snake case name
• Pass in a class to be used in the template this can be a string or an array

To use any Free Icon inside a frame, such as a circle or square.

Add Frame+Shape to the front of any Free Icon

Icon::frameCircleAddressBook('text-primary)
Icon::frameSquareUser('text-primary)

To create your own frames simply add the desired code to the views/font_awesome directory and begin the call with frame

Icon::frameMyframe...

• Pass a string and the class will be set
• Pass an integer and the count will be set

Minimum of 2 variables passed to validate check

• class = The class for the icon.
• transform = The transform for the icon.
• frame_transform = The transform for the frame.
• frame_class = The class for the frame.
• count = The count, for use with comments etc.
• text = for use with the getText() method

Any unknown variable can be passed and called in a custom template $item->custom_variable.

• The templates automatically include an fas in each class, so if you are using a brand or other, remember to include the prefix e.g. fab
