wbi_fullwbmodel
This project compiles a SpaDES model that can be used to simulate harvesting on the full extent of the WBI study area (i.e., the entire Canadian western boreal forest, covering parts of BC, AB, SK, MB).
The simulation model is based on spades_ws3_dataInit
and spades_ws3
SpaDES modules
(Paradis, 2021a; Paradis, 2021b),
which wraps the ws3
package (Paradis, 2021c).
The input data for this model is based on an inventory and yield curve dataset originally developed by Kyle Lochhead, in the context of a PhD research project at UBC (Lochhead et al., 2018; Lochhead et al., 2019).
