android-accelerometerplay's Issues

Android Accelerometer Values

Dear developers , I have a problem on Android Accelerometer Values. As we know , if a phone lies on a table , the value of Accelerometer on the gravity direction is about 9.8, if the mobile phone is not placed in a way one of the three directions(x,y,z ), this value will be graded by vectors.
And the problem is if a phone is free fall in one of these three directions smoothly, what the value of Accelerometer is?( Is it 0 ? )
What the Accelerometer value is if a phone is free fall but scrolling at the same time? ( Is it still 0 ? )
Because conditions are limited, I can not completed the experiment by letting a phone drop freely from 20 meters of air to let this accelerometer sensor data last long enough and recordit, so I come here to seek for help, if any body know the answer , please let me know, thank you very much ! I really need it.

Code

Hi
Please can u explain me this function :

public void computePhysics(float sx, float sy, float dT) {

            final float ax = -sx/5;
            final float ay = -sy/5;

            mPosX += mVelX * dT + ax * dT * dT / 2;
            mPosY += mVelY * dT + ay * dT * dT / 2;

            mVelX += ax * dT;
            mVelY += ay * dT;
        }

And what's the : mVelX / mVelY and sx, sy and dT
Thanks !
