The CLI is just a wrapper around the files and git commands.

Look into textual again. Perhaps it is not so bad if it doesn't work in the vscode terminal.

Consider using the built-in file browser and changing the file structure to match.

File names should be just the timestamp (since we need something globally unique to avoid merge conflicts), plus perhaps the first 20 letters of the message if that is beneficial. Not sure if it is beneficial or not, let's try it out. We can even make it backwards compatible.

Even better is of course if we implement a browser where we can browse to a specific month or so
