thunderbird-gnome's Issues

From: Mailaddress field should be after an linebreak (or buttons on right side)

Die "From: Mailaddress" field is just right to the buttons (reply, forward, delete,...) which looks ugly. Further I always search for the From address, because it appeas not really in the users view.

I would suggest to move the buttons right (like in the standard theme) or to move the "From: Address" field to the next line.

Thanks for this awesome theme. I love it!

Update to support Thunderbird 15+

There's a new branch: update-to-15 that is a big step in that direction. It's currently broken, however, and needs some attention. (Tabs are noticably wrong.)

I did, however, pull in changes from the upstream theme and copied over the global changes from our Firefox theme too... so it's a start.

Support for newer Thunderbird releases

As in title.

I tried to use the theme as of now, changing only the maximux supported version of Thunderbird and it seems to work fine.
In my opinion, it only need some tweaks and should be nice.

Incompatible with 24.2

Is this theme still maintained?

I tried to install it but it is incompatible with Thunderbird 24.2.0.

Thanks!

Message pane contents don't wrap when resizing window

When resizing the Thunderbird window, the contents of the message pane don't wrap (the pane to the right of the message list, particularly in vertical view). This means that the user must scroll across right to view the entire message.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Install Adwaita Thunderbird theme
  2. Click: View -> Layout ->Vertical View
  3. Click once on a plain text or HTML message with content without line breaks. The message does not wrap in the message pane - the user must scroll to the right in the message pane

Expected result:

  • Message should wrap. The message does wrap when using the default Thunderbird theme.

Using:

  • Adwaita-Thunderbird 1.0.1
  • Thunderbird 8.0, Linux

Update theme's look for GNOME 3.12+

It's really hard to think how to reskin Thunderbird to fit in with modern GNOMEy goodness without touching the UI.

There are tabs, but they don't switch documents; they actually switch complete UI contexts. There are little buttons to the side of the tabs. The toolbars are under the tabs (as the tabs switch what they do). The main menu is on the contextual toolbar. It's basically a mess.

Calendaring: There's sometimes a sidepane showing calendar events and tasks (if one uses the popular Lightning extension).

Conversations: Many people are also using conversation view too, so we'd want to take that into account as well.

I really don't know what is most proper for the app.

Incompatible with Thunderbird 11 (current beta)

The title basically says it all - firstly it won't install (since maxversion is currently 9.0ish) and secondly it doesn't seem to handle the new tabs on top style of TB 11 very well - there are a few visual inconsistencies. Would be great to see an updated version.

Issue with lightning icons

The icons from the thunderbird lightning addon for tasks and calendar in the top right button have a line drawn on top of them. This looks a bit weird. These buttons are located on the left of the 'show all tabs' button.

Update to match GNOME 3.4's Adwaita theme

GNOME 3.4's Adwaita features thinner, dark scrollbars, but the Adwaita themes for Firefox and Thunderbird still use the old-style, thick white scrollbars. Would there be an updated release?

integrate notifications with gnome

With the current extension, the notifications from thunderbird are not integrated with GNOME.

TB prefers to use its own notification systems. There is another add-on that does give some level of notification integration, but it is not apt.

thunderbird 7.0

This theme is fully compatible with thunderbird 7.0 final. Can you please update install.rdf ?
