Currently theta evaluates to 1 since the numerator is identical to the denominator. The denominator should be the variance of the covariate:
df[prediction_column].var()

I have checked your blog in medium and is really helpful. In this code you show the distribution of ATE estimations by simulation. I just want to know if I want to do t-test on treatment effect, how can I calculate the variance (and standard error) for coefficient of T in multivariable regression?
