It's really hard to tell that a series of superclass pre-call constructors
relate to the same object.  This is because the trace file doesn't try to
get an ID for them, because you really really can't do anything with an
uninitialized object (like get its identity hashcode).  This means we're
using some really dumb heuristics to figure out when construction is done.
