@TomOudeRengerink that makes sense, i think right now you'd have to create the release and then select it via "another existing release" but that's not very easy to do if CI makes your releases.

@TomOudeRengerink it looks like you're currently not using semver which is what the (non-semver) in the dropdown is attempting to tell you. You can see how we expect semver to be formatted in releases here https://docs.sentry.io/platforms/javascript/configuration/releases/

Once you have semver setup, you'd be able to use "in the next release" which would wait for the next release according to semver

Is "in the next release" the next minor release or does this count as a patch?

@TomOudeRengerink it can be major, minor, or patch as long as its greater than the version its resolved in.

This is precisely the feature I'm requesting:

During a hotfix (patch), certain Sentry issues aren't consistently addressed. Therefore, it would be beneficial to have the capability to manually specify the release version (SemVer) in which they are resolved.
