nct6687d_mon's Introduction

gergap colorscheme

This is my brand new color scheme. Work in progress.

Terminfo

This colorscheme uses italic fonts. To make this working in KDE Konsole (and other terminals) you need to install these two terminfos.

$> tic terminfo/screen-256color-italic.terminfo
$> tic terminfo/xterm-256color-italic.terminfo

In KDE konsole open Settings->Edit Current Profile. In the General tab click on the Evironment "Edit..." button. Add TERM=xterm-256color-italic.

To make this also working in TMUX add

set -g default-terminal "screen-256color-italic"

to your ~/.tmux.conf.

Note: adding "TERM=..." to your .bashrc is a bad idea! The terminal application should always set this to the correct value.

Fonts

You need a font which supports italic typeface. I personally use the Hack font from https://github.com/chrissimpkins/Hack patched with powerline symbols. See https://github.com/gergap/fonts

nct6687d_mon's Issues

Confirm on MSI H410I Pro Wifi

Thanks to this small tool it shows much more than lm-sensors with the Kernel driver nct6683.
You can see the board and chip as well here: https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/91MNlzN5O9L.AC_SL1500.jpg
Tested on Kernel 5.10.61 with a fanless system (so please don't wonder about the '0 rpm').

sensors-detect shows:

Trying family `VIA/Winbond/Nuvoton/Fintek'... Yes
Found unknown chip with ID 0xd592

You can compare here:https://linux-hardware.org/?probe=e939c51829&log=sensors
But it looks like he doesn't activate the Kernel module/driver nct6683 .

seems to work also for nct6687r

I have here a MSI B550M Mortar and waiting eagerly for lm_sensors support :)

thank you for the for the script, looks interesting.
