The old version (before 0.8.19.1.13) of GeoPyTool use pyqtgraph, which has been replaced by VisPy now.
So when you double click the Update***.bat File, you might encounter following error:

如果你下载的打包文件是0.8.19.1.13以前的版本, 在双击更新的时候会遇到上图所示的错误, 这是因为GeoPyTool 所用的一个模块 pyqtgraph 被移除了, 替换成了 VisPy, 而你没更新的旧版本打包内是没有VisPy的.
所以解决这个问题也很简单, 编辑更新的脚本文件, 改成下面代码部分的形式, 保存后双击运行, 就可以了:

No bugs, just a question! :)

I am having to make a lot of the sample plots with different input files. Instead of uploading each file individually and clicking the same GUI buttons over and over again, can I use the tool without the GUI and instead in terminal? If so, would you mind providing a tutorial on what functions to call to access the different buttons?

GeoPython, running in its stand-alone version (most recent one as far as I can tell) crashes when I tried to do a CIPW norm using the sample 'Geochemistry' .xlsx file. After the crash the terminal screen reads :

The last sentence is portuguese for : 'press any key to continue'. Of the other functions I have tried this is the only one not working.

Question

This is not a bug per se but rather a curiosity that I have seen it has been asked before. Is it possible to use GeoPython as a module (e.g., pandas) and call the functions from within a python3 interpreter? In the article you do mention that possibility and the website does feature an 'expert' installation guide. What I am wondering is how can I call the functions, for example a 'do_TAS' function of something like that. I am quite new to python (just getting started reading Think Python) so this may be a somewhat confusing question.

if you use pip to install GeoPyTool and encounter the error:

TreeBuilderForHtml5lib 'module' object has no attribute '_base'

You can try to run:

pip install --upgrade html5lib==1.0b8

and then run the installation pip commands again.
That is caused by an issue with upstream package html5lib: https://bugs.launchpad.net/beautifulsoup/+bug/1603299To fix, force downgrade to an older version:

如果你用pip来安装 geopytool的时候遇到了下面这样的报错:

TreeBuilderForHtml5lib 'module' object has no attribute '_base'

可以试着运行:

pip install --upgrade html5lib==1.0b8

然后再重新运行pip命令来安装.
这个问题是上游包html5lib的bug引起的.
