graphviz-markdown-preview's Introduction

Visual Studio Marketplace

Adds GraphViz support to VS Code's builtin markdown preview

Usage

Create diagrams in markdown using graphviz code blocks:

```graphviz
digraph finite_state_machine {
    rankdir=LR;
    size="8,5"
    node [shape = doublecircle]; S;
    node [shape = point ]; qi
    node [shape = circle];
    qi -> S;
    S  -> q1 [ label = "a" ];
    S  -> S  [ label = "a" ];
    q1 -> S  [ label = "a" ];
    q1 -> q2 [ label = "ddb" ];
    q2 -> q1 [ label = "b" ];
    q2 -> q2 [ label = "b" ];
}
```

graphviz-markdown-preview's Issues

Exporting preview?

This plugin takes graphviz blocks and turn them into SVGs which is then inserted into the HTML document that is used in the preview, and does so in a marvelous way.

Is there a way to export the preview into e.g. a PDF? Or some other solution that achieves a similar effect.

There are no markdown renderers that support the graphviz block other than this plugin, it seems?

No image rendered in latest version of VSCode

Things worked great with the last version of VSCode, but as of the last version of VSCode, the plugin no longer renders an image.
