Submission for final project, INFO 474, University of Washington, Winter 2018. The following deliverables are here included:
This document is in both Word document and PDF formats. It includes an unmodified project proposal that references an idea that has little to do with the final product. The one thing that the final product, and the proposal have in common is that they both use a D3 Choropleth map.
These are slides used to present the project to interested student peers for feedback, and critique.
This document is in both Word document and PDF formats. It details the project in conference paper format to include an abstract, introduction, related work, methods, results, discussion, future work and references.
These include several R scripts used to produce a CSV file containing election results for the 2000 through 2016 U.S. Presidential elections. The files are named add_beta_params.R, add_state_id.R, create_input_csv.R, create_summary.R, experiments.R and insure_totals.R.
The most important of these is used by the application, and is named vote_totals.csv. There is also intermediate files named aggregation.csv and state_ids.csv.
