I can neither resize a particular particle or position or drag-and-drop a new particle.
Does drag-and-drop feature already work in Layout mode of beta 1?
If yes what am I missing in Opera 29.0.1795.30?
Showcase (and others) has 1 Sample Content module.
I would like to have 2 more exact copies (for example) of this block on the same row instead of dragging 2 positions from left sidebar, then copying the content of the existing to the newly created ones.
By replicating If there exists 2 blocks they will share 50% of the space, 33% for 3 etc.
Can you have add a button on the block for this task?
Some users get this error when they click on the "Apply" button for any Menu Item.
For me it was only reproducable with Dropdown Menu items but now I can also reproduce it with Top Level Menu items.
I reproduced the issue on an old installation updated to Joomla 3.4.0 as well as a brand new Joomla 3.4.0 installation.
Click to edit: Extension manager/template manager/Hydrogen - Default
Click Platform settings
Change (or do nothing) settings
Click Save&close or cancel
You will be redirected to Available Themes page and you will need to click "configure" again to return to the edit page.
In the _nav.scss file (g5_hydrogen\scss\hydrogen) the Menu Styling uses these two variables.
But what if the user moves the Menu Particle in the Header (or other) position?
Wouldn't it be better to choose the Menu Styling from the Menu Particle itself? Hmm, but then it will not be consistent.
Anyway, can the Menu Particle has its own variables and section in the "Styles" section in the backend so it does not matter in which section you put the Menu Particle?
Could you add some extra css to support the default bootstrap css on joomla.
This is what missing:
Solution 1:
@media (min-width: 960px) {
.visible-phone {
display: none;
}
}
Solution 2:
/media/gantry5/engines/nucleus/scss/joomla/_forms.scss
input, textarea, .uneditable-input {
width: 90%;
Remove * max-width: 250px;
}
I want to add a logo on the top-left side over the navigation bar. Obviously the logo must be on the same position on every page. Now, I added the logo particle on the header place (on the same templates, Home and Default).
I notice that the margin-left from the left side of the window is different from Home to Contact pages.
The difference from these pages seems to be an extra div with g-container class as you can see on the next 2 screenshots.
I don't know if this issue cause the displaying problem.
[Firefox 36.0.4 on Windows 7 x64]
I have selected everything such us base path, menu, start level, etc..
Click 'Apply", when you open again the previous selection is not selected.
I've tried 3 different install in my local and i have the same issue.
Also the Menu in the Setting page has same problem.
Select everything and Save... Leave the page like go to Layout page.. then come back, it is not selected anymore.
P.S - I realize i select anything in the Setting page, it does not get selected after save then leave the page and come back..
My environment:
-Latest Joomla 3
-mamp
-I duplicated Hydrogen Home and work on it.
Hey guys,
It is not a bug but an enhancement request :)
Would you please create an Offcanvas position? T3 Framework and Helix 3 have it (just in case you want to have a look). I do not care about the other frameworks and I suppose you too, but it is a must-have feature in my opinion.
You can publish whatever you want in the Offcanvas position - you can have another menu there, yu can have your shopping cart there, etc.
Just a small icon in the header and when you click it it brings the offcanvas element :)
problem with submenu: in "Main menu" I created a second item menu "About us" with two submenus "Our activity" and "Where we are" all linked to a single article item, then I assigned this menu to Default view, with Preset 3 as Style. I can reach the requested page "About us", but clicking on the submenus nothing happens, the page is greyed, but no redirection to the articles. Also in Layout - Hydrogen Default, it is not possible to save the changes to menu settings (Menu, start level, end levels etc): clicking Apply I received an ok message, but after saving the layout I reload the page and nothing has changed.
Example of what happens clicking on "Our activity" submenu item: page is grey and no redirection to the article
There are two issues I noticed with the responsive menu. The first one was reproduced by other users as well.
First issue - the responsive menu does not load at all. It loads perfectly fine on the Homepage (first screenshot), but when you go to another page it does not load. The Menu button (hamburger) is there and when you click it the offcanvas appears but it is empty (second screenshot):
Second issue - the submenus in the responsive menu cannot be expanded:
The Font Picker is not present in the Gantry Admin.
Getting this error in console?
GET http://testing.dev/Joomla_3.4.1/media/gantry5/assets/js/main.js.map 404 (Not Found)
Adding a "Module Position" particle to the Layout does not add the module position as a choice in the Module Manager. I mean if you add a "Module Position" particle to the Layout, set the "Key" to "testgantryposition" and then go to the Module Manager, open a module, expand the "Position" dropdown menu and start typing "testgantryposition", there is nothing found.
I do understand that this is quite tricky, because the Module Manager takes the available module positions from the "templateDetails.xml" file and in Hydrogen you do not have any:
<positions>
</positions>
But there should be a way to add those dynamically created module positions as a choice in the Module Manager.
P.S. Yes, typing the module position manually works and the particular module is loaded on the Frontend.
How can we create a sidebar in the main content area?
If you check the _header.scss file (g5_hydrogen\scss\hydrogen) you will see the following:
#g-header {
background: $header-background;
}
Isn't it supposed to be:
#g-header {
background: $header-background;
color: $header-text-color;
}
Or you've taken out the "color" on purpose?
the btn-link color is incorrect now.
Its loaded the bootstrap color, not from the template
When you go to a component (I tested Kunena K4.0 alpha). The less files isn't loaded.
Most probably this issue is related to some already repored ones and probably re-working the JS for the Menu will fix it but I just wanted to open it so you have track of it.
When you set the "Full width" menu and have multiple columns, some of the Menu Items that are actually parant items, do not have the box with the arrow so they cannot be expanded.
Hello,
I have tried several times to install Gantry 5 on a fresh Joomla 3.4.1 installation on a fresh AMPPS installation, with PHP 5.6, fileinfo dll installed on PHP, but I always get the same error message:
Erreur
Required PHP extension 'fileinfo' is missing. Please install it into your system.
Paquet : erreur à l'installation
Alerte
Extension Installer: Échec de l'installation personnalisée
I receive a "Missing filenfo" error when trying to install joomla-pkg_gantry5_v5.0.0-beta.1.zip over a fresh joomla 3.4.1.
Solution:
Uncomment the line 994 from php.ini
extension=php_fileinfo.dll
This was submited and closed in #34 but I just want to double check if the "columns" issue is fixed as well (not only the z-index issue).
Let me know if you need screenshots of something.
I don't know if it is a bug or it is by design, but if you move the Menu Particle in another section (not in the default Navigation section) the Overlay that appears when you click on the button to expand the dropdown menu has a higher z-index and the Menu Items become not clickable.
The .g-nav-overlay
class have a z-index=1.
If the Menu Particle is in the Navigation section (as it is by default) the issue is not present because the #g-navigation
id has a z-inder=2.
Please remove :
/media/gantry5/engines/nucleus/scss/nucleus/_core.scss
*, *::before, *::after {
@include box-sizing(border-box);
}
This is conflicting with padding on ul li paddings:
Hi, when I´m in the layout manager and want to load a configuration it says "404 Not Found Oops, Layout not found." Presets work.
Also isn´t there a way to add/edit sections with the layout manager e.g. to edit the navigation section to make a vertical navigation? Is it only possible via the yaml file?
Cheers
Mat
I change from Preset1 (default) to Preset4 and then "Save Styles", OK.
After that when I want to revert back, and change from Preset4 to Preset1 > "Save Styles" - > nothing !
Still remain the Preset4. Even when cleared cache. It seems that is a file permission issue.
I think I found where is the glitch.
When access from:
Extensions > Template Manager > Hydrogen Home > Styles, the URL is:
http://localhost/joomla/administrator/index.php?option=com_gantry5&view=configurations/10/styles&style=10
This is OK, the changes are working fine.
When access from:
Components > Gantry 5 Themes > Configure > Styles, the URL is:
http://localhost/joomla/administrator/index.php?option=com_gantry5&view=configurations/default/styles&style=10
When make some changes nothings happent.
This is a Gantry's 4 fault that should not continue to Gantry 5.
The assignements should not only include menus and menu items because when you have a multilanguage site, and you have a template override for a specific language, every time you browse a page that is not a menu item as well, the menu returns to the one of the Default template.
Assignments probably should be more complicated to include menus, components, content (categories, articles, K2 categories, K2 items), users, specific url's and most important Languages !!!
Where is the admin side editor for the default custom-template.css file?
Hello :)
I don't know if you wanted it only that way to work but I would like the option that it opens on hoover.
Its nice for some Pages but most want to use hoover like the RokNav Menu has.
/media/gantry5/assets/css/bootstrap-gantry.css
Remove:
.dropdown-menu .divider {
border-bottom: 1px solid #ffffff;
}
Its having double color, and now on dropdown-menu, the divider have no color.
Currently the "Full width" menu fills up the whole window size:
Wouldn't it be better to appear as most of the Mega Menus available on the Internet. I mean to be center and filling up just the container. Adding position: relative;
to the Main Menu element is a good example of what I mean.
Or it will be left as it is and the theme developer will decide how to style it?
