I'm not sure that we need any branching strategy just yet. We should keep things simple for now.

I agree that eventually we're going to need a branching/tagging strategy -- but now isn't the time in my opinion. The master branch is the "stable" version and all the individual forks of this repo are the "development" branches. These "development" branches are moved to master via pull requests.

Once we have a "1.0" release, we'll of course tag it but that's a way off.

I'm with Matt on this one - also because no one should be depending on what's checked for now - its highly unstable and not final in any way.

That's fine as long as we are in agreement that eventually there will be proper tagging of releases and a branch for development.
