completionistsindex's Issues

[Suggestion]: Please add a whitelist to the config file

Mod Loader (Optional)

Forge

Minecraft Version(s) (Optional)

1.20.1

Mod Version(s) (Optional)

8.0.0

Suggestion (Required)

Would you please consider adding a whitelist to the config file? I am hoping to use the index as a checklist for items to be collected & displayed in museum exhibits, and a whitelist would be much easier to fill than the blacklist.

[Suggestion]: Edit position of the inventory button

Mod Loader (Optional)

Minecraft Version(s) (Optional)

Mod Version(s) (Optional)

Suggestion (Required)

Suggestion: The ability to manually edit the X and Y positions of the index button located in the inventory menu via a config.

[Suggestion]: Configurable pause menu row height

Suggestion (Required)

Like how you can configure the position of Create's ponder/configure button, you should be able to configure where the completionist index is on the pause screen so you can even things up

[Bug]: Items from Twigs aren't indexed

Mod Loader (Required)

Fabric

Minecraft Version (Required)

1.19.2

Mod Version (Required)

4.0.0 (twigs version 3.0.0)

Notes (Required)

Current behavior: Items and blocks from the Twigs mod are not tracked. They are tracked in the statistics screen, but not in Completionist's Index's screen.
I have double- and triple-checked, and Twigs is not where it would be in the list of mods when sorting alphabetically, and Twigs items are not where they would be in the list of all items.
I have replicated this with just Twigs and Completionist's Index (and its dependencies) installed.
Steps to replicate: Install Completionist's Index and Twigs, check the index.

[Suggestion]: Ability to group items by creative tab rather than mod

Suggestion (Required)

I really like the concept of this mod, however it can be a bit annoying when a single category in the index has a lot of items. For instance, grouping all >1000 vanilla items into a single Minecraft category makes it very annoying to scroll through, and this also leads to a fair bit of wasted space on the index's category menu when no serverside mods are installed, making Minecraft the only category in that menu. This can work both ways, sometimes mods have very little content which creates an entire tab with just a single item, or very few items.

Therefore, my suggestion is to add an option to group items into categories based on what creative tab they appear in, adding items without a tab to their own category. When an item is in multiple creative tabs, it could either appear in multiple categories or in the category corresponding to the first creative tab it appears in, whichever is easier to implement.

[Suggestion]: Scan chests/Surrounding items? Or ability to manually check boxes, or a config option to enable that

Suggestion (Required)

Really awesome mod by the way, just added it to my world but it seems like the mod only checks items that are being picked up by my player, even when I move something from a chest into my inventory the mod doesn't register it. So maybe it would be cool to have the option to manually check the boxes so that I can keep the Completionist's Index up to date?

Or if the mod could scan chests or items that I move from the chests into my inventory that could be a worthwhile feature

Thanks a lot for the mod!

[Suggestion]: be able to search for items

Suggestion (Required)

If, for example, I don't remember if I've already picked up an End Crystal, it would be interesting if I could search on the book to see if I've already completed the task, but there's currently no way to search, you have to manually search for the item

If you find this suggestion interesting, please update to 1.20.1

[Suggestion]: Tooltip for Inventory Button

Suggestion (Required)

It would be nice to have a small tooltip (perhaps a configurable one at that) that renders when hovering over the optional inventory button displaying description ("Completionist's Index" by default).
