Is it possible to obtain position data from this or it just works for rotational data?

but i have some questions for this project.

1. Too many duplicate data values are measured. (per second) how can i modulate this problem?
2. How can I save the measured data to a file such as .txt or .csv?

I'm beginner of this project, so i need your help.

Cut the female off of this extension (leaving 2 inches of cable) and solder to your board: https://www.adafruit.com/product/1131 Mates directly with your battery. Double stick foam tape will hold the board to the flat side of the battery.
