Add life-points

Add some initial life points, I would say 5 for the game start.
After surviving 30 sec (or similar value) you get 1 more life added.
If you hit an obstacle while not being in ghost mode (half transparent player) you lose a life.

preferably the display of amount of life is shown as text, so we don't get into trouble when a good player sums up life (if we would make a bar or display it with little hearts in a row, it could easily exceed the expected amount because the player gets an additional life every 30sec).

Add tutorial / game explanation

For new players, it is important to get the basic idea of the game. Some minimal "tutorial" would be great. It could be like this, but you can come up with your own idea:

  • Starts on first app start, then sets a flag in the code that it was viewed already so it doesn't comes up on future starts
  • Has a button in the menu to re-view the tutorial

content:

  • shows a screenshot with all the major parts of the game, with text on every part to explain it (obstacles, player, color switcher)
  • has a button to close the tutorial

Add a HUD with important infos / buttons

the free space on the bottom of the screen is reserved for the missing HUD. It should contain:

  • display to show the time and the amount of obstacles the player has passed
  • two buttons, one for Jump and one for Duck ( so it can be played on mobile). One button on left bottom, the other on right bottom.
  • one button to quit / go back to the main screen (small button in the bottom middle, between the jump/duck buttons)

Find theme and better name

I've put that together in one issue, because I think both parts, the "theme" and name of the game should fit together. So when we agree on a mech-cyber-theme we shouldn't name it "Pony run!" (except its a mech-cyber-pony).

My random naming ideas, fitting to the "dimension shifting" idea:

  • Bitrunner (already given, bitrunner.io)
  • dimension runner
  • dimensioner
  • dimenso
  • dimrun
  • dyrun

The Theme could be some darkish creature in a rope (like Zeratul ) running through a gray dusty landscape. Obstacles would be crystals shining in their respective color. Color switchers would look like a black hole shaped like a crack in the dimension. (Press on the URLs for reference images)
