Otherwise, the book can't really be read.
Ah, uuh. That should be one of the golden rules of html5 frontend design ;)
Maybe integrate that wisdom into the book, too?
@codylindley is there anything specific that you're looking to expand with this project? Anything you want contributors to look into or focus on?
First of all, love the handbook - great resource.
I'd like to suggest adding Jank Free to the Performance Tools section of the handbook (unless you think it fits better somewhere else). The site offers links to talks, tools, slides, articles, and videos related to diagnosing and improving issues related to: runtime performance, browser rendering/painting, animations, and touch/input.
What’s stopping your web pages from getting silky smooth scrolling, buttery animation and a user experience that’s snappy and fast? Jank-free rendering performance has been shown to positively affect user engagement and experience in many large sites, but remains an area many are unaware of how to diagnose or optimize. - Addy Osmani
I'd like to see some more content about how to use them. Right now I'm struggling using Dribbble's API and reading their documantation. I think someone else might be having this problem too.
On https://github.com/FrontendMasters/front-end-handbook/blob/master/tools/general-tools.md:
Says: jJSFiddle
Should say: JSFiddle
Any concerns with using title-casing for section headings, e.g., "What Is a Front-End Developer?" vs. "What is a front-end developer?"?
This adds a grammatically-consistent, professional feel across the material.
If no there are no objections I've got a nice PR lined up. 👍🏼
Great job on putting together the Front-end Handbook—impressive stuff. Lots of great content in there.
I wanted to suggest my CSS framework Scally for the CSS Tools section. You can check it out here—but in a nutshell Scally is a CSS framework that provides you with a solid foundation for building reusable UIs quickly. There is a fair amount of documentation in the repo.
Cheers and keep up the good work.
Hello,
I created an application http://bestof.js.org/ to gather the best open source projects related to the web platform (js, css, html but also node.js...).
Every day the application checks stars on Github for a curated list of about 500 projects.
Could it be used in the page that mentions the "Trending JS Repositories on GitHub This Month"
https://github.com/FrontendMasters/front-end-handbook/blob/master/tools/js.md
The cool thing is that the Frontend handbook is part of bestof.js.org 😉 (check the "documentation" tag)
Thank you for your feedback!
add conventional changelog to automate changelog generation while releasing?
In tools/css.md, the link of Ultimate CSS Gradient Generator is error.

This book is amazing. Congratulations!
Could have a "Frontend-career-path": Where to start and where to continue.

Hey,
I wanted to translate the handbook to Portuguese, but the current license doesn't allow us to do this:

There is any way you can change this?
Should the date be 2016 or move to 2017?

In learning/multi-thing-dev.md, the link of Responsive Typography is error. Fix it, please. Tks.
Hey Cody. Thank you for creating such an incredible resource for people in the front-end profession. The comprehensive nature of the handbook is impressive. Killer job.
I wanted to see if you have heard of Developer Tea, and ask you to consider adding it to your list of podcasts as a resource for developers.
DeveloperTea.com and Spec's page for the show can give you an idea of what the show is about, but it's essentially a short-format show that delivers 3 times per week, and covers various topics ranging from hyper-practical to entirely soft, and everything in between.
Thanks for your consideration, but even more - thank you for your continued contribution to open source!

Hi Cody.
Today Khan Academy in partnership with Code.org and other companies has released a new video series explaining how Internet works. I watched them and are really cool. In my opinion, it something that I would consider to add in the Internet/Web chapter. Check it out!

I'm not 100% sure which resource was intended to be here, but a little googling turned up:
I believe the $150k remote working salary reference is a quite exaggerated.
Before you go writing this off as a "bitterness" thing, I'd like to say my main problem with it is giving false hope for people looking to break into the field.

Pardon me for the light dose of irony.
Just wanted to point our Thinkful's Introduction to Front End course is listed as $500/month (3.2.1) but it's actually $300/month.
Thanks for writing this amazing resource, Cody!
That's all. Wrong anchor in the first element of the list here:
https://github.com/FrontendMasters/front-end-handbook/blob/master/learning/seo.md
add Command Line Tutorial to the Learn command line section.
Looking at the many awesome lists under "Learning", should resources be alphabetized for easier at-a-glance finding? This also suggests that all resources are being given equal weight in terms of significance. I was about to PR a list that way but didn't know if that was a reason not to.
