On the description, you say that you can display the output of commands and keep it updated. But I can only show strings, to run commands.

How did you do it?

I would like to put the message box at the very left. Thank you!

Think about it: you send some string to the panel and would like to react to it by executing some sh script
Events:

• leftclick
• leftdoubleclick
• rightclick
• scrollup
• scroll down

The extension is disabled on my system. Under System Extensions in the gnome extensions app, there is a symbol that looks like a stop sign. Clicking it returns this:

The installed version of this extension (15) is incompatible with the current version of GNOME (46.2). The extension has been disabled.

Steps to reproduce

• open settings and select "Center" in top panel location
• lock screen
• unlock
• message is moved to the right again, expected to be in the center
  • setting remains on center but is ignored until set again
