margin-calc's Introduction

margin-calc

Calculate the margin loan amount you can afford to take out given previous dividend income.

How to Use:

This calculator is divided into three parts:

  1. Margin Calculator - Calculate the margin loan you can take out in order to pay off the interest every month with your previous dividends. It is strongly recommended to take out a loan smaller than the recommended in order to pay back the loan interest and principal. The following parts of the calculator will assist you in choosing the optimal margin loan amount.
  2. Interest Calculator - Confirm the loan amount you wish to take on margin, and view the yearly, monthly, and daily interest charges given the interest rate you previously provided. Again, it is strongly recommended that you take out a loan smaller than the recommended in order to pay back the interest and principal. This amount can be changed, however you must press the button to resubmit the form and recalculate the interest payments.
  3. Dividends Calculator - Now that you have chosen the loan amount you wish to take out, you can calculate the new yearly and monthly dividends you will earn by reinvesting the loan into a new stock. At the end of the calculator is a sentence which shows how long it will take to pay off the margin loan you chose using the previous dividends you entered PLUS your new dividends.
