Scheduling Tasks with Bukkit

When developing moderately complex plugins with the Bukkit API,
it is often necessary to perform certain tasks on a regular basis,
such as changing a player's hunger level or starting a new mini-game arena.
To schedule tasks that recur in minecraft, a number of methods can be used.
These methods are all quite similar, however will perform different types
of scheduling based on your needs.

  • Different methods of scheduling tasks
  • Asynchronous Scheduling

Subdividing IPv4 Networks

Transferring Data with Block-Chains

Using block-chains to transfer data securely and anonymously is quite an interesting idea.
Data could easily be traded, given, bought and sold anonymously, without others gaining access to the data.
A data block-chain system could even hook into the BitCoin protocol and execute
BitCoin transactions directly when transacting data for currency or vice versa.

La Maison du BitCoin

Last week, while visiting Paris, the bustling capital of France, I popped into "La Maison du BitCoin", one of France's first, certified, commercial BitCoin exchanges.
La Maison du BitCoin, situated in the third "arrondisement" of Paris[^1], was established late last year, and is now visited by many curious Parisians and travellers, eager to delve into the exciting, new world of crypto-currency.

  • Accreditation by French authorities

Writing Unit tests with Mockito

In order to develop smooth, bug-free applications, testing is a must. To accomplish this goal, many modern work-flows implement rigorous testing processes and emphasise concepts such as test-driven development.
Testing code, however, isn't always as straight forward as some may think.

  • Java unit testing options
  • JUnit chronological approach

Social icons are not displayed correctly

On all the site's pages, in the sidebar, the social icons that link to GitHub, LinkedIn and Twitter profiles aren't displayed correctly. An outline of the icon shows, however, no logo is present within that outline.
