Fellow students have put together a guide to Windows set-up for the project here if the environment you have set up for the Sensor Fusion projects does not work for this project. There's also an experimental patch for windows in this PR.

1. Clone this repo.
2. Make a build directory: mkdir build && cd build
3. Compile: cmake .. && make
4. Run it: ./pid.

The Proportional(P) compoment of the controller is responsible to bring back the car towards it's target lateral center.

The Integral(I) compoment of the controller is responsible for compensating for systematic bias that might be inherent to the car's behavior.

The Derivative(D) compoment of the controller is responsible for minimizing oscillations (ping-pong) and prevent the car to overshoot from its target lateral center when it is recovering.

The hyperparameters were chosen manually although this repo includes an partial implementation of Twiddle.
