samaaja's Issues

Using byfieldname as name for metadata

Eventype doctype's naming rule is set to byfieldname. Now while creating an event, the actual eventtype value will be used as a value and will be stored in the event record. This design could have 2 issues -

  1. Since the eventype value is itself present in the event record, it discourages developers to look up the actual eventype value by referencing the eventype doc type. This may lead to a situation where value of eventtype changes but still the event is tagged to the old eventtype value (stored in the event record)
  2. If I change the name of the eventype then the name of the record doesn't change and creates confusion. We can rename the name itself, but doing this breaks the FK relationship in event.

The recommendation is to use random naming rule in not only the eventype doctype, but in all the doctypes that serve as master data.

Adding verification to events

The submitted events can be verified - it will have a icon and name/entity who verified and may or may not have hyperlink.
