Hi Andy!
GREAT project! I'm having a bit of trouble with the configurator, though... I ran the BitsyLED.exe from the following link:https://github.com/flyandi/BitsyLED/releases/tag/v0.6.2 The setup went fine. However, when I ran the Configurator, the screen is cut off.For Example.. If I select the Airplane (RC), then the Configurator screen appears; however, it's truncated. The TOP of the screen only shows as high as "Navigation". It's cut off above that. It's also cut off below "Serial Port". I can't see the selection box for Serial Port. I CAN tab to it, but I can't see it. I installed on Windows 7 64 bit, then realized that probably isn't supported. Then I installed on my son's Windows 10 machine and it did the same thing. Did I miss something? Am I missing a file?
Please help, I'd really love to get this running! Thanks in advance!
Jon G
To start with, I'm feeling really bad to annoy you two times a day with problems or wishes :)
I and also a collegue from a german FPV forum are experiencing problems with the connection between the configurator and the arduino.
Configurator: 0.6.2
Firmware: 1.0.3
Arduino Nano (with old bootloader)
I changed the config.h accordingly and flashed the software.
There seems to be no connection possible, it simply outputs "connecting..." and nothing changes.
The collegue experienced the same after updating to 0.6.2 - before it worked with 0.6.0
But for him a downgrade also didn't helped.
So either there is some kind of incompadibility with one of the recent windows 10 updates or something else strange is going on.
Thanks and greetings
Hi flyandi,
First of all: Thumbs up, really a nice a good project.
When thinking about to build one for my Funcub, I realised that I need all 8 PWM outputs on my FrSky X8R receiver (6 servos, 1 ESC and 1 buzzer). So I don't have the possiblity to change the pattern etc. by my own.
My original idea was: I could bring in the lights for nice optical view and also use them as a battery warner as soon as the battery gets low.
In this case I thought about sending a value on a channel back from the transmitter (which receives the battery voltage via telemetry) to change the color and blinking pattern of all lights.
While thinking about what to do, I came up with the idea of SBus support. It is unused right now und could support up to 16 channels.
OpenXSensor for example also has SBus support.
As my coding skills are somewhere between nothing and really low, I thought I could ask kindly if you also have interest of implementing SBus to BitsyLED.
Best regards from germany and keep on the good work.
I was going to order some of your PCBs from OSHPark but figured I'd ask a few questions first.
I'm looking to control anywhere from 1 to maybe 10 LEDs and have a button change them from, for example, white > red > blue > green > purple > multicolor patterns 1-4. Is this something this board is capable of?
Thanks in advance.
