flux-framework.github.io's Issues

update for latest releases

The latest releases showing on the web site are a bit old and do not include flux-sched or flux-security:

flux-accounting v0.8.0 (download) April 27, 2021
flux-core v0.26.0 (download) April 22, 2021

Small Dependency Issues and Website Typos

I was trying to build flux on Mac. Before I realized the futility of that, I came across some small errors while trying to satisfy dependencies. I'm referring to this page.

Most of these are nit picking but there's a chance it would help someone who isn't installing on LC.

  • You put a link to libmunge but when installing via macports or aptitude it's just referred to as munge.
  • There's a small typo: libsoduim --> libsodium
  • in the configure script it says lua >= 5.1 but < 5.3 but the website says only lua 5.1
  • jansson isn't listed as a dependency

This last one may be more proper to post in flux-core:

  • libev included in flux is missing ev_kqueue.c. I got that file from here

page build warning - pygments highlighter

On pressing the merge button for #7 I received this email. Sounds minor but didn't want to just drop it on the floor.

The page build completed successfully, but returned the following warning:

You are attempting to use the 'pygments' highlighter, which is currently unsupported on GitHub Pages. Your site will use 'rouge' for highlighting instead. To suppress this warning, change the 'highlighter' value to 'rouge' in your '_config.yml' and ensure the 'pygments' key is unset. For more information, see https://help.github.com/articles/page-build-failed-config-file-error/#fixing-highlighting-errors.

Add release notes from flux-accounting

The release notes generator script is not able to find the tagger/date information for the flux-accounting releases. I suspect this is due to the use of lightweight vs annotated tags. It does produce mostly the correct markdown, only the date is missing from the file contents and the file name. If someone is willing to manually add the dates to releases 0.1.0->0.8.0, we can add those. And going forward, I think flux-accounting can use annotated tags to enable the script to work automatically.

Import new site theme from sandbox repo

This simplifies the site directory quite a bit. Sandbox:

To do:

  • Replace CSS, _config.yml, etc. with new files
  • Bring over all _posts as the metadata has changed in each, as have the file names (PDFs were never copied to the sandbox)
  • Replace logo file (Flux-logo.svg is the correct new file)
  • Remove _includes and all other unneeded folders
  • Fix baseurl bug that causes _posts content to throw 404

Address remaining requirements, if desired:

  • Home page shows latest 2 posts, regardless of what kind. Would need additional logic to filter to 1 sched and 1 core
  • Reduce height of header background (I could not figure out how to do this)
  • Possibly wrap site title text around logo? (I tried float left and divs but they didn't work; I'm not sure how to do this)
  • Create new header for index.md vs. default.html to give sub-pages a slimmer header than the home page header (I think that's how it would have to be done?)

History/discussion is in issue #36
