Hello,

The installation works fine if you create a conda environment with all the R dependencies, then install scPPIN from source using the tar.gz.

Thanks,

Thanks for your interest.

For running scPPIN you will have to

  1. Install the dependencies (especially the dapcst C++ program)
    [sometimes]: execute the scPPIN-library.R file
  2. Use it! (e.g., by trying the tutorial)

We plan to make it a bit more convenient in the future (so I will keep this issue open). But this is a bit involved because of the C++ part. So don't hold your breath for it.

Hi,

Thanks.
I was only sharing a concern regarding the difficulty to start using the tool.
The majority of the scientific community that will benefit from your tool are most likely to spend 1 or 2 days or even more figuring out the installation. Glad to hear that you are planning it.

For instance, I am stuck at installing dapcst. I have to use 'make' to build it. Now I am learning what is 'make' and how to use it etc. So instead of such an instruction, if you could provide step by step commands that will be much more helpful for us to immediately start using the tool.

Meanwhile I am trying the webtool.

Thanks and kind regards,
Saeed
