distrilbrot's Issues

Switch from mpfr::mpreal to GMPFRCXX

GMPFRCXX is a C++ wrapper over both GMP and MFPR, and allows the mixing of types, so precise integers (GMP) and precise floats (MPFR) can be used together. This is useful when the zoom gets arbitrarily large.

It's not been updated in a while, but I contacted the author and he says that he plans on doing it very soon. Once it is, the build process will be adapted for the library.

Use logistic equation for maximum iterations

The idea is to calculate the maximum iterations using the below equation.

Equation

max,y, and b will be found through a logistic regression from iteration counts that looks aesthetic.

Use maximum standard deviation over steps

Instead of looking for how far a certain point zooms in, look at how colorful a certain point is. The more colorful, the higher standard deviation, and more possibilities.

Switch to GNU configure/make build process

configure should check for working a working emscripten and binaryen tool suite, and also check for a valid GMP and MPFR install (along with MPFR++ and GMP++). If these do not exist, download and make them.

make should simply just build asmjs and wasm (as long as both tools are there, again)
