NotifBot

An Android app and Telegram bot that forwards Android notifications to Telegram.

Building

For Android part, the building system used is Bazel. You only need to manually install Bazel, and Bazel will get all the dependencies for you (including Kotlin and third-party Bazel rules).

The Bazel rules depends on the ANDROID_HOME environment variable.

Run tools/release.sh to sign the apk with a release key. More details.

Double messages to Telegram

Hello

I get two identical messages to Telegram from one received WA message.

I use Oneplus 3T with custom hardened Lineage (16.0) ROM (android 9) and Whatsapp Business app (2.22.3.77) and Notif (0.7.1)

Notification Preview Size

Hi, is there anyway to remove or change the "From Snapchat: ......."

The notification preview is minimal in itself so to include the app name at the start utilises a lot of space in android auto where you can preview the first line of a notification.

This might be a telegram specific issue as WhatsApp displays a whole sentence in its notification but Telegram only displays maybe 3-4 words.

Nice-to-have: dismiss original notification once forwarded to bot

First of all: thanks for this app. Thanks to it I'm able to have notifications from other apps that I would otherwise not have on Android Auto.

It would be nice to have a preference to set the notification listener to dismiss the original notification, once that notification gets forwarded to the bot.
