Namron Rotary dimmer Z-wave adds to Homey (5.0.0-RC.44 ) with the wrong manufacturer ID.
Namron app V2.0.6 Experimental
Device added as 1402756, but is not recognized and is added as a 'Basic Z-wave Device'
Device manufacturer ID: 1073

Is there a fix available for this issue?
Would be great if you could add support for the "new" Dimmer 2 as well! Should have some improvements over the first one.
If you need one physicaly i cant send you one so you can do your magic, and send it back when your done 😅 can't use the dimmers atm. anyways haha
fiLLLip has transferred this application to Namron, and Namron has entrusted me to maintain this application. You can ask your issues on xxx.
There is already Namron App that supports Homey v5.0, test link: https://homey.app/a/net.filllip-namron/test/

Common issues
When Homey officially releases Homey v5.0, the new Namron App will be officially released.
Homey does not allow Namron App to add devices whose manufacturer is not Namron. If you own such a device, try to contact the real manufacturer.
Is it possible to add support for
https://www.elektroimportoren.no/led-dimmer-z-wave-200w/1402756/Product.html
I just added a 8 button device (4channel) and the Homey app said it couldn’t find an app for the device, was added as generic device.
This device: https://www.elektroimportoren.no/namron-z-wave-4-kanaler-bryter-k8-sort/4512722/Product.html?Event=searchlist
Any plans for the Namron app to support this device in the future?
Dimmer is not recognized and is added as a "Enkel Z-Wave Enhet".
Hi.
Is it possible to add support for the Namron Z-Wave Switch 400W (as shown in link below) to the Namron app?
https://www.elektroimportoren.no/namron-z-wave-switch-400w/4512715/Product.html?Event=livesearch
Please find attached information regarding product ID, etc.
Thank you very much!
Trying to add a 4 buttons wall controller. First it was added with a Namron zigbee driver. After a lot of retries with Namrom/EasyHome it is now fixed to use "homey:app:com.easyhome.mw.zigbee — ZV9001K4_DIM_G2", even when adding it as a Namron wall controller.
Have another wall controller installed a month ago, works fine.
You may call me if you want, Filip, home office as everyone else.
Hi.
When trying to add a new Dimmer to my homey the app automatically only tries to remove one.
See enclosed photos. If I triple press the reset button on the dimmer. It goes into inclusion mode but nothing happens in the app/Homey. I have tried resetting the Homey. I have moved it within 2m of the dimmer. Please advice.
Unable to add dimmer to Homey.
Bought from elekteoimportøren this week.

I am not able to add the Namron z-wave led switch 400w
I press add zwave switch, and press reset 3 times, and another 3 times. I get told to wait while its being added. Then i get "could not reach the device anymore."
I also tested Namron zigbee led switch 400w, but it is not supported by your app. I was told by vendor to use "easyhome" app which was the old one i was told. I got no problems adding the device, but i must press reset button once for it to work. And i get following error when i turn off light: "an unknown error has occurred[invalid_capability]" and when i turn on i get: "cannot read property 'read' of undefined". Except for the error messages, it actually turns on and off lights.
Hi
Any chance of adding the zigbee 8 button wall switch to Homey in the near future?
I have successfully installed one rotary dimmer but the second dimmer fail to install. Have moved the Homey closer but it still refuses to install or installs as a simple z-wave unit. Have factory reset the dimmer without success. Any suggestions ?
When i include the wall controller i cant get the buttons to work. I dont know it has something do do with it, but it looks like it is added as a sensor: "class: sensor". It only reports capabilities: "measure_battery" and "alarm_battery"
Hi all,
today I was contacted by Namron regarding this app and its future. Namron themselves want to continue development of this app and add support for their entire product range. This is something I applaud, and really look forward to see. I just transferred the ownership of the app on Homey developer portal to Namron, so the last update to it from me have been published.
I am not sure if this repo will receive any updates, or how they will move forward. The only thing I now know is they want to continue development and focus on the upcoming Homey release (Homey v5 with App SDK 3).
As for stats, this project actually had 614 live users as of today when I transferred the app. That is pretty cool, thanks :)
I have another Namron device that doesn't currently work with Homey.
This time it your upstream repository doesnt have it, but it's just a simple wallmount on/off switch. Is this possible to add as well?

I know Namron "has taken over". But since "taken over" in this case means nothing, I'll give it a try:
I have added a Namron wall switch (z-wave). Homey does not detect state changes when using impulse switch to change state.
When looking at raw messages, it seems like the switch is sending state to homey, but the driver does nothing.
Is there one code line I could add by myself and cli install the package?
v5!
Hello,
Since May 2020 I have had an operational homey pro setup with namron z-wave dimmers (and other equipment) delivered from you. During the period I have experienced both software and firmware upgrades on both namron and homey devices. Virtually every time you upgrade software on either homey or namron devices, a dimmer fails. But it does not have to be associated with software updates, this happens completely out of the blue without any change in the network (wifi / mesh / power grid). Most of the time it is sufficient to reset the dimmer and then put it back in the homey, but sometimes (on 3 occasions) this has not worked either, then I have found faults on dimmers and replaced these on warranty. This is all well and good, but it cannot be the case that one is dependent on an electrician or "special competence" to get light in the bulbs; for example, if I am traveling and the lights do not come on, then neither the children nor the wife with the system can do anything to start the lights again. If the dimmer must be replaced, we need an electrician. This simply does not work. in addition, all flows (automation) must be recreated every time a dimmer fails, this is very frustrating and cannot be like that. Now, I have spent a lot of time online/ on forums to troubleshoot this, it seems to be associated with congestion on the mesh network caused by namron z-wave in secure mode. I chose to go for z-wave according to Elektroimportøren’s recommendation, this was perhaps premature I see now in retrospect (but I did not have enough knowledge about the technology in the summer of 2020 and therefore listened to professional advice from Elektroimportøren). I see that several have had all their z-wave units changed to zigbee from namron, this under warranty from Elektroimportøren. This can certainly be a solution for me as well, but this also involves a lot of work and effort to achieve.
Homey pro is on the latest version, 7.1.3 - Namron is in v 2.2.9 (updated 4 days ago, at the same time as the update several zwave dimmers fell out and it is not possible to reset and then pair again). The same thing happened with the previous namron update, the previous namron version was additionally updated with a hotfix beta due to namron switches becoming unreachable with the previous version. In addition, there is a message on some namron devices that these will probably not be supported in the future (homey message)
homey.app is missing 1 node as I do not have reserves and have not paired up the last node / dimmer again as it can not be paired. It can turn lights on and off by pressing reset, but does not respond to pair commands. Common to zwave namron nodes that fail and become unreachable is that the route goes via a node that does not exist (For example a case where the node that fails goes via node 4 as the last known route ... 4 does not exist and has never done it in homey layout. Possibly this is reserved node id?)
Here are several who experience the same problem, these are just some of the many threads I have trawled over the past year. The conclusion seemed to point to Namron flooding the zwave network (possibly this is caused by the code job in namron, who knows ...) https://www.hjemmeautomasjon.no/forums/topic/7073-mye-tr%C3%B8bbel-med-homey-namron-z-wave/
https://community.athom.com/t/add-z-wave-device-non-secure/12406/43 https://community.home-assistant.io/t/why-the-heck-are-my-z-wave-devices-sometimes-unavailable-after-startup/219925/5
The more I read on forums, the more things suggest that it is flooding from the zwave devices in secure mode that is the cause. Those who report similar issues get rid of the problem in unsecure mode ("hack" json config) or by using other zwave nodes. A bad mesh network at the end user must then be based on other noise on the band (868mhz) or heavy constructions that stop the waves, possibly large distances. Nodes and homey are located only on the same floor, wall constructions are exclusively 4-inch three-pillar walls with conventional chip construction; that is, not constructions that should have a significant effect on the wavelength for zwave mesh. Of apps on homey, it is quite "pure" - that is, relatively few and well-known apps.
Looking forward to a response regarding these issues and hope this can be resolved soon.
Best regards.
Hi. Would it be possible for you to add more of the Namron products?
The "Dimmer - 3 wire" and the "Remote Control 4-channel" from Robb-Smartt upstream is as far as the pictures he has the exact same products I sit here with (except for the Namron logo), but they are just recognized as simple Z-wave devices.
Attached is the info from homey when these devices are connected.

I just bought a bunch of smart home stuff, including a Homey, some Hue lightstrips and some Namron ZigBee dimmer switches tp replace my existing ones, but just now realized that this combination won't really work. I am running the experimental Homey v5 to get the Hue lightstrips to work, but there is no support for the Namron ZigBee dimmer switch. I see that you've answered to reviews on the Homey app page that support for the Namron ZigBee devices will be added as soon as v5 is released, but since the v5 release should be just around the corner, and the new SDK is ready to use, I was hoping that an updated Namron app is ready and can be used either as a final release or as a beta?
If not; do you have an ETA? Waiting for the v5 release doesn't really make sense anymore since the new SDK with improved ZigBee drivers is ready to go and can be used as is.
Namron`s own products seems to have been shipped at first with manufacturer id ID: 816 (sunricher?) before they got their own manufacturer id: 1080 (namron)
I see you have made 2 different "drivers" for 8 button, one for white (manufacturerid: 816), and one for black (manufacturerid: 1080)
"productTypeId": 768 and "productId": 41733, is the same for both products so it is basicly the same device but different colours.
So wouldnt it be better to put both manufacturer id
s into the existing white driver?
The question that I want to ask is, is there anything wrong with the flow/scene coding in your driver for wallcontroller8-black (manufacturerid:1080)?
Because the only triggers that come up is:
Battery level changed
Battery Alarm activated
Battery Alarm deactivated.
Thank you :D
After this morning when the update to v1.4.0 was installed, all of my Namron Z-Wave 1 kanal bryter K4, article nr 4512713 stopped working (https://www.elektroimportoren.no/namron-z-wave-1-kanal-bryter-k4/4512713/Product.html)
In homey, I get the message "Device is unavailable".
My other type of Namron switch does however work. The other switch is the 2 channel 4512720 called Namron Z-Wave 2 kanaler bryter K4 (https://www.elektroimportoren.no/namron-z-wave-2-kanaler-bryter-k4/4512720/Product.html)
