ItemUpgradeTip

ItemUpgradeTip is your ingame guide to item upgrade tiers, showing you all the information you need. You no longer need to keep that Reddit post open on your second monitor, all the information will be at your fingertips right within the game!

New in v3 is the "Upgrade UI":

  • "Mythic+" tab showing Key Level / Loot Drops / Vault Reward / Crest Drops
  • "Raid" tab showing Boss / Loot per Difficulty / Crest Reward
  • "Upgrade Tracks" tab showing Ranks / Crest type needed for each upgrade
  • "Crafting" tab showing craftable items and their crest requirements

Features:

  • Displays upgrade information in the tooltip of an item that can be upgraded
  • /iut or /itemupgradetip to open the upgrade UI
  • Supports character and account wide discounts for upgrades
  • (Optional) Compact tooltip format
  • (Optional) Disable individual item type integrations

Supported item types / currencies:

  • Flightstone / Crest
  • Valorstone / Crest
  • Honor gear (Honor)
  • Conquest gear (Honor)
  • Covenant gear (Reservoir Anima)
  • Heirlooms (no currency shown)

Currently there is no plan to add Korthia gear to this addon, as Korthia gear is outdated and there is no benefit to spending any amount of currency to upgrade it.

It should be possible to disable certain tooltip integrations. For instance; the Heirloom tooltip is not technically required, as it shows no information other than what's readable in the top lines of the tooltip.

Hero items return the incorrect values for next upgrade and max upgrade.

Description

The numerical ilvl values/strings seem to be incorrect.
Cost for next level (INCORRECT ILVL)
Cost to upgrade to max level (INCORRECT ILVL)

The crest and flightstone costs seem to be correct.

Examples:

This only seems to be an issue with 'Hero' level items.

Incorrectly shows the amount of resources for "Double Time"

Description

I was expecting the correct amount of resources to improve to be shown, instead of the wrong amount.

P.S. Maybe something similar happens with other things, but so far I've only noticed the problem with this item.

Compact / Minimalist Mode

The tooltip, especially for Flightstone items, can get quite long. An option should be added to compact the tooltip so it doesn't take up so much vertical space.

Lines should use the same style as the WoW upgrade UI itself (the footer):

Next Upgrade (<ilvl>):    90 <FlightstoneIcon> 1 <WyrmCrestIcon>
Max Upgrade (<ilvl>):     280 <FlightstoneIcon> 2 <WyrmCrestIcon> 1 <AspectCrestIcon>

Perhaps take it one step further and make it green for discounted costs, white for normal/non-discounted costs, and red for more than what you have available.

Add crest info to keystone tooltip

When clicking or mousing over a keystone, there’s no way to know what crests drop there.
