vscode's Issues

File extension overrides filename

Icons where this is incorrect.

It seems that vscode is prioritising file extension over filename, which is why these examples don't get the more specific icon.

Possible to make it look like it does in Atom?

Hi, I'm coming from Atom and I prefer the look of the file structure when it is Atom. Is there a way to make it look more like it here in VS Code? Comparing the two it seems like the icons are a bit larger in Atom.

Enlarge icon size and improve alignment?

For me this is the best icon theme for VS Code but I find it distracting that the icons are tiny bit too small and don't feel properly aligned. Look at the following animation with a bunch of random icon themes for VS Code:

file-icon-themes

Most of them have the same size (slightly larger than this one) and are better aligned between the item arrow and the item label.

Could this be improved in a future version or it's like this by design?

Icons for Meteor or React not working

Wondering if something is not working for me correctly, but the icons for my .meteor file and the react files are not working.

appreciate any help

thanks!

Icons appearing washed out

Some of the Icons, specifically anything with 'yellow' are appearing a little washed out in VSCode as opposed to Atom.

I'd expect the colors to carry over better. Some icons with yellow such as Gruntfile and .babelrc are looking pretty spot-on, so perhaps it's jsut the javascript icons.

dockerfile icon not showing.

Hi there,

I've recently installed vscode and added your file-icons but I noticed that the dockerfile is not showing its icon. The .dockerignore works ok. I've tried both upper and lowercase D in case it was the problem...

Other than that, amazing library!

Match _test.ext

The test icon matches files like template.test.ts but not template_test.ts.
The latter convention is used by Deno core. I'd like to see the test icon match both cases, including .tsx and the various JavaScript extensions.

webpack.*.js rendering with JS icons

webpack.*.js rendering with Javascript Icons.
Although webpack.dev.js and webpack.prod.js already exists in scripts/import-fixes.json the icons are rendering with Javascript icons.
webpack-vscode-atom (1)

Note: The icon only renders when its extension matches the import-fixes.json.
eg.
webpack.dev.js does not match
anything.webpack.dev.js matches

no file icon for pdf

Using file-icons in vscode, pdf files only display a generic file icon, not the pdf icon that is part of the icon set

File associations ?

VSCode Material Icons has a configuration called File Associations, but aren't you going to implement it in File Icons?

Now I have a lot of yml configuration files and poor visibility, so I want to customize the icons for some files ...

Missed some icons

Atom vs VSCode:

And the icons are not centered with the same size.

Color only for modified files

Hi and great work !
Do you think it would be possible to have an option like in Atom to color only an icon if it's changed (in GIT) ?
Thanks

Abandoned?

Hi,

Is this package abandoned? I keep getting updates in Atom but none in VS Code.

Add icon to .prettierignore

I saw that the recent update added the prettier icon, that's awesome!

However i'd like to ask if you could add the same icon for .prettierignore files?

Thanks in advance 🙂

Add support for pascal files

Please, add support for (object) pascal files. Here's the details:

  • .pas or .pp extension for pascal code file, using this logo:

  • .dpr or .lpr extension for pascal project file, using this logo:

    • ala Free Pascal is cheetah paw, something like this, or this.
    • ala Delphi is roman building like this or this.

Though personally I prefer the cheetah theme ala Free Pascal, but the "official" icons don't look really good. I just don't have the skill to make a great icon.

However, I appreciate whichever logo you're going to use.

Thank you. 😊

Question: What is the project's license?

Hello, I'm considering using file-icons in my own open source project but I can't seem to find the LICENSE file? Is file-icons released under any license? If so, could you please add the LICENSE file?

Fix Jest icon

image

Not sure if Atom has this icon but that red square feels odd...

Marked as Preview

Is there a reason it is marked as "Preview" in VSCode extension marketplace? The version is past 1.0 and I've never run into stability issues.

Fix Stylelint icon

If the .stylelintrc file has extension, doesn't show the correct icon:

Customization/overrides like in Atom?

Is it possible to override any of the file icons to be your own combo of color and icon? I know VSCode hasn't had the same kind of CSS configuration as Atom does but was wondering if there was a way to do so anyway.
