qcmd's Issues

"list group" command

can there be a command to list the cues contained within a group cue? that's a query i could see myself using.

editing aliases externally sometimes breaks them

  1. open ~/.qcmd/settings.json with a text editor
  2. add something at the end of file
  3. launch qcmd
  4. you'll get an "expected token" parse error on the first long alias, even if your edit comes after that line.

single mode

this may be outrageous, and it may be useless to many, but here goes:

is there usefulness to a single command mode, where just a single command with arguments could be run non-interactively from the shell prompt? i'm thinking something like:

$> qcmd -h HOST -w WORKSPACE "/cue/2/levels 0 3 -12"

making a fade out is problematic

on fade cues, qcmd doesn't seem to be able to set any level equivalent to -inf on faders that aren't already "activated". a workaround seems to be to first set the level to "0" then set to "-inf" but i can surely imagine situations in which that isn't ideal.

add help

which slider show all command documentation with "slider" in the name

help for generic help, help cue for cue help, etc

quitting is weird

quitting qcmd throws this error:

Unable to connect

version 0.1.15

On opening it shows a list of available machines (eg: GW's MacBook Pro). When I try any of the following entries it says it was unable to be found:

connect GW's MacBook Pro
connect "GW's MacBook Pro"
connect GW's_MacBook_Pro
connect "GW's_MacBook_Pro"

Then when I tried to type in my local IP I got the following:

Seems like there may be a string error with a machine with spaces, but I cannot account for the error with the local IP.

Thanks
GW
